More than 3,200 people like and or reblogged this post of mine. I don´t know anything about this building, apart that I found it by hazard on a stroll trough the streets of Ghent, in Belgium, during my last summer holidays in June.
This is such an organic piece of architecture that pushes imagination into its most inner depths.

Refreshing isn’t It?…!!! … but also Luminous, Artist Dennis Wojtkiewicz paints enormous portraits of sliced fruit, often scaling four feet across or more. Each oil on canvas painting focuses exclusively on the edible subject, with dramatic back lighting, staging up citrus, melons, apples and kiwis. Dennis Wojtkiewicz, born in Ohio, in 1956, explores, through these oversized oil paintings, the sensitive nature of time. The transitory nature of his subject matter, richly encapsulated, transfixed and glorified, with heightened photorealism. Light and translucency, make these paintings glow. Nature’s perfect patterning allows each painting to take on a meditative quality. While Wojtkiewicz focuses on tiny details like individual segments of juice, striations, and the fuzzy skins, the realism is tempered by a slightly hazy, impressionistic finish.
